Bein' Southern ain't just a flag.
It's not just the direction on a compass,
Or the southern twang in our voices.
It's our heritage we have,
And the pride in where we live.
It's having respect for everyone we meet,
No matter what social strata they're from.
It's lovin' God for the blessin's He's given us.
We ain't no hicks or rednecks,
We're good ol' boys with clean souls,
And stone cold country by the grace of God.
It's knowin' that your jeans are comfortable because
You wear them all the time.
Its havin' out teeth ache because our tea is sweet.
Its treatin' women the way women are supposed to be
Treated.
It's eatin' out our gardens instead of grocery stores.
